Fuses are described has having tags when they feature metal tabs extending from the fuse caps.

If the tag extends from the centre of the fuse cap, it is called a centre tag.

If the tag extends from below the centre of the fuse cap, it is called an offset tag.
(Typically an offset tag extends from the bottom of the fuse cap, allowing the fuse to rest upright on the tags.)

Some fuse tags feature open-ended slots (slotted tag), whilst other tags feature enclosed slots (bolted tag).
